Full-Day Guided Float Trips

What to Expect on the Water

A full day on the water is the absolute standard for experiencing Montana fly fishing. By dedicating a full day to the river, we have the flexibility to let the fishing develop naturally as the environment changes around us. We aren't forced to squeeze a rushed itinerary into a short window. Instead, we can watch how the water temperatures shift, adapt to the changing light, and cover a wider variety of river structures. It’s about total immersion in the Montana landscape, letting the day breathe, and settling naturally into the rhythm of the river.

Deliberate Pacing & Tactical Fishing

A full day allows for a smooth, steady tempo. We can make deliberate tactical adjustments, like starting the morning with nymph rigs in deep runs before transitioning to streamers along the banks. The pace is inherently relaxed, built around a consistent drift that keeps you casting to fresh water. We have time to cover miles of diverse structure and offer patient instruction exactly when you want it. Ultimately, this is your vacation. By the time we pull into the boat ramp, our goal is for you to step out feeling refreshed and having enjoyed a zero-pressure, timeless river day.

Rates & Booking Transparency

We believe in straightforward, "all-in" pricing with absolutely zero checkout surprises or hidden fees. We absorb all credit card surcharges for completed trips.

  • Peak Season (April – October): $700 (1-2 Anglers)

  • Winter Season (November – March): $600 (1-2 Anglers)

To secure your guide's calendar, a 100% upfront payment is required at the time of booking.

What is Included

Your time on the water should be an escape, not a logistical headache. We provide a seamless experience so you can focus entirely on fishing.

  • Professional Guide Services: A licensed Montana guide entirely focused on your safety, success, and maintaining a low-pressure environment.

  • Premium Gear: Top-tier rods, reels, fly lines, and all necessary terminal tackle and flies for the day.

  • Food & Drink: A high-quality, filling river lunch, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. (We enjoy our lunches comfortably on the boat or at established public picnic areas to minimize our impact on the riverbanks).

  • (Note: Montana fishing licenses and guide gratuities are not included).

Corporate Outings and Large Group Events

Taking your team or your best clients out on a Montana river is an incredible way to build relationships. However, organizing a large group can be a massive logistical headache for the person in charge. That is exactly where we step in. Flyshot Outfitters specializes in coordinating corporate retreats, large family reunions, and group outings from start to finish.

We handle all the heavy lifting on the back end. This includes organizing the vehicle shuttles, coordinating the fleet of drift boats, and providing premium lunches for the entire group. Because we refuse to compromise on the quality of your day, we only hire the hardest-working and most experienced guides in the Bozeman area. Everyone in your group will receive top-notch instruction, regardless of their prior fishing experience. Since coordinating a large fleet of elite guides requires careful planning, we highly recommend reaching out well in advance so we can secure your dates and build the perfect itinerary for your event.

Family Floats and Multi-Boat Trips

Fly fishing is one of the best ways to spend quality time together as a family. If you have more than two anglers in your group, we can easily accommodate your crew by arranging a multi-boat trip. Drift boats are designed to comfortably fish two anglers plus your guide. When you book a multi-boat day, we utilize our tight-knit roster of top-tier guides to ensure everyone gets the exact same premium experience.

We launch together and float the same stretch of river. You will often be within sight of the other boats throughout the day, so you can still share the excitement when someone hooks into a great fish. Around midday, all the guides will pull the boats over at a scenic spot so the whole family can regroup, share stories from the morning, and enjoy a great riverside lunch together. Whether you are bringing seasoned anglers or introducing your kids to the sport for the very first time, we keep the instruction patient, the environment safe, and the day completely stress-free.
