Half-Day Fly Fishing Trips

A Relaxed, Productive Session

Our half-day trips are designed to maximize your time without consuming your entire itinerary. These condensed, efficient sessions are perfect for families with younger attention spans, beginners wanting a crash course in the basics, or travelers looking to squeeze in a great fishing session before a flight or after a morning in Yellowstone.

Even on a shorter timeline, we never want the day to feel hurried. Your guide will have the gear sorted and a solid plan in place before you even arrive, ensuring a smooth, low-pressure transition from the boat ramp straight into a great few hours of fishing.

A Timeless Experience, on Your Schedule

At Flyshot Outfitters, we believe the quality of your time on the water matters far more than the duration. Our half-day trips deliver the exact same premium instruction, beautiful water, and low-pressure environment as our full days, just in a more concise format. It’s the ideal way to learn a few new skills, enjoy the drift, and step out of the boat feeling completely refreshed rather than exhausted.

Float vs. Wade Options

Flexibility is key. Half-day trips can be conducted from the comfort of a drift boat or on foot as a wade trip, depending entirely on the current river conditions, hatch activity, and your personal preference.
